Bryan Parrish
"I see the importance of blood donations every day not only with my job as a paramedic and firefighter for the Houston Fire Department, but also each time I look at my daughter.
"My daughter, Madison, was born November of 2006 10 weeks prematurely. She needed three blood transfusions and was in the hospital for seven weeks at birth. She is a smart, healthy, and happy 3-year-old now thanks in part to those transfusions."
Francisco Blanco-Rais
"My son was diagnosed with cancer in 1999; right now he has no more cancer. He is 15 years old, and he is healthy (thank God). That is why I enjoy giving my blood to help anyone."
