Coke Corner Winners
Thanks to all those who helped save lives during the month of April, when Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and Houston Coca-Cola teamed up to offer the Houston Astros Coke Corner giveaway.
Six lucky individuals who donated or attempted to donate in April were randomly selected to win a family four-pack of tickets to the Saturday, July 8 Houston Astros game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Winners will sit in a special section of Minute Maid Park and enjoy food and soft drinks during the game, courtesy of Houston Coca-Cola.

Joseph Taylor Whitaker, of Humble, has been helping save lives for about 12 years. He donates regularly at the Humble/Kingwood Neighborhood Donor Center and was thrilled to win Astros tickets for his recent donation. |

Joe Ray, of Katy, began donating blood in Kansas City and continued his commitment when he moved to the Houston area last year. He donates because he is a "universal" O-negative donor and feels rewarded to know he can help save lives. |
