About the Volunteer Program
Volunteer Speaker's Bureau
The Speakers Bureau consists of exactly those individuals. People of varying backgrounds, ages, and experiences that have benefited from blood donations directly or indirectly. If your life, or that of a loved one, has been sustained by blood donation, then this is your opportunity to share your story and inspire others to Commit for Life. Your testimony is sure to motivate others.
If you would like to spread the word about the importance of blood donation by telling your story, please contact Volunteer Services at volunteering@giveblood.org or calling 713-791-6262. If you would like to sign up for volunteer orientation and training click here to get started.
If you are not comfortable speaking publicly, we may be able to share your story in an article. Please send us your story in an e-mail.
Request a speaker to come to your blood drive kick-off party, staff meeting, organizational or affiliation meeting, etc. prior to your blood drive.
*Requests for speakers are preferred at least four (4) weeks prior to kickoff or meeting. Speakers are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, based upon their availability.
For additional information please contact our Community Outreach Coordinator at 713-791-6266 or 1-888-482-5663, ext. 266
